Discipline ⚑️ Carving out time in your day or week and dedicating it to yourself is worth every minute spent. A conversation I’ve been having a lot these last couple of weeks especially with a few of my newer clients as I’ve noticed a drastic improvement and shift in their bodies simply from their own self practice.  Never underestimate the value of taking all the tools you have learnt in a lesson and trying them out at home. Have loved ‘hanging’ with @logan.sutherland.music during his escape from the Canadian winter. Finding further connection and strength in his core muscles and glutes and releasing the psoas and tight hip flexors. Not everyone likes to hang upside down or for very long but he’s like a πŸ¦‡. I could have left him there all morning. (Only the tips of his hair reached the floor). Inversions are excellent for reverse blood flow and improving circulation as well as decompressing the spine and hips. Just a snippet of this beautiful trek I did with my husband yesterday. Striking ever-changing landscapes kept us in awe throughout the day.
Dramatically beautiful it was also challenging at times, especially under the hot NZ sun with limited shade. β˜€οΈ
The mind is such a powerful tool and at times when my body began to tire and fatigue with discomfort I could feel the pull of mind/ego complaining and wanting to give up. My meditation practice has made me more aware of this self-talk so I tried to acknowledge those sensations then change the noise in my head to one of encouragement and positivity. In a sense I was doing an experiment on myself to see if I could lighten or slightly change my experience. 
Accomplishing a physical/mental challenge no matter how great or small is incredibly rewarding and proof that we are truely capable of so much.

It’s been a restful and reflective summer so far. Took time out to hold my loved ones close and savour the richness of sun and fresh air. New Zealand sure does come alive this time of year!
